This is a letter for all daughters to read to get a glimpse of how their mothers may have felt about them when they were teenagers or now that they are teenagers. This letter may also uncover how we wished our mothers had communicated to us when we were becoming women and making our way in the world. This letter offers us an opportunity to feel and heal any sadness we may have hiding away in relation to our mothers and our relationship. To my lovely sweet ,
I felt to write this letter so you know how I truly feel in my heart and what I see before me when I SEE YOU.
I see an amazing young woman so sweet, strong and powerfull. Shining before me with so much Love and Glory, you are the apple of my eye and just seeing you makes my day shine, I smile from the inside out.
You are a constant inspiration to myself and all those around you, simply by being you and nothing else.
My Love for you is true and unshakable. Nothing you choose to do can change who you are in your full beauty, which is the woman I will always see and hold deep in my heart.
I knew when I gave birth to you that I had been blessed from the heavens. Your stunning glory and light was there to be seen by all, as it always will be.
Sometimes I choose to see what you do before I feel who you are, this is when I am the one that greatly misses out as I do not see your true loveliness, rather I see you as your behaviour. How you choose to behave does not change, touch or taint the beauty you carry within.
You are the very definition of Joy and if you choose to live knowing this, you will feel your Joy reflected back to you through all that cross your path, you are a gift to all you meet.
As you grow and unfold into the beautiful amazing woman you are, I could not be more inspired or proud of the depth and beauty you carry within.
As you are now a woman it is time for you to fully claim the sacred beauty you carry within; it is a magical, cheeky, play-full, loving, sexy beauty carried by all women. It is like a cup that can never have too much put in, so enjoy yourself as you journey through your life, always filling your cup, until it overflows with all the glory that is you.
At times you may feel your feet get a little wet when you walk through a puddle upon your way through life. Do not focus on your wet feet, be aware of the puddle and why you walked through it, but do not let it be the focus.
I will always be your mum, but it is time for me to step aside and let you fully make and embrace all your own choices and just be there if you ever feel the need for support.
Enjoy exploring life and all it has to offer. Life is an offering, an offering of inspiration from all those around you.
So get out there girl, oops woman… and share all of who you are.
Never apologize to anyone if your light is too bright, just keep on shining so you can share with them the gorgeousness of all you are and they will get the gift of knowing that this light is also within them.
