Esoteric Women’s Health – The Journey I Can Never Walk Away From

How to describe Esoteric Women’s Health, what it means and what it has done for me? Where do I even begin? From the beginning would be the obvious answer.

It began with esoteric healing, followed by Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM), followed by monthly meetings and presentations by a graceful woman, Sara Williams, and four times a year by another tender-hearted lady, Natalie Benhayon. Esoteric breast massage was an equivalent of a bombshell when I first heard of the modality: “What? Another woman massaging my breasts, surely not?!”. Ah, the importance of a truly open mind! To dismiss it without experiencing and feeling the enormousness of this profound healing modality would have been an irretrievable loss.

If I am painting a very ‘rosy picture’ about Esoteric Breast Massage, let me break the illusion here and add some more colour to the palette. It took me years to come back for my second Esoteric Breast Massage.

I had my first one in the early days of the modality, after overcoming my initial misgivings – “that is weird”, “why do we need that?”, “ooh, that is going to cause waves”.

My first session was lovely in the sense of the setting and the practitioner, but there was nothing sexy about it. I did not like the feeling of having my breasts touched, so much so that I checked out – I left my body – and I came to realise that this is what I did every time someone touched my breasts. Which meant that I had not been truly present for any of the sex I had ever had (that was a lot of not being present!). This was very painful for me to feel. Every Beautiful Woman

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago. I was window-shopping outside a jewellers / china shop. There were so many beautiful and colourful objects there, but when I looked at each individual item – there were actually none that I wanted. As I was leaving, I saw a life-size cardboard cut-out of a fashion model standing there – I didn’t want that either. So I walked away from it all, down the street.

As I was walking, in the dream, I remembered something Serge Benhayon, founder of Universal Medicine, had said to us some years ago whilst demonstrating a healing modality – the Energetic Facial Release. For those who may not be familiar with this healing technique, it is a release that can help deal with and clear emotions we hold within our face, such as sadness, frustration etc. It can rejuvenate the face to reveal a person’s natural radiant beauty, and can also have a profound healing effect on the whole body. A Woman Versus a True Woman

“What does it mean to be a woman? And what does it mean to be a true woman?”

When I first attended an Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM) talk, I couldn’t understand why the women were talking about being a ‘woman’. I couldn’t understand – how could a woman find it difficult to be a woman?

Up until that moment I considered myself a ‘super woman’, in all senses. Having grown up in Brazil where appearances count a lot, I got used to doing all the girlie things: I would have my nails done regularly, take good care of my skin and hair (dermatologist consultations three times a year!), wear make-up, do exercise to show a toned and fit body, dress in a very feminine way, wearing skirts, dresses, accessories, high heels…

I was also a ‘super woman’ in all other aspects of my life: very efficient, a great housewife, intelligent, well educated, successful, friendly, very dedicated to my family and friends… but interestingly, even ticking all the boxes of the ‘super woman’, I was still trying to better myself (physically, emotionally, professionally) – it was never enough. Letter to the Courier Mail: I am Left with a Number of Questions

After reading your article “New age ‘medicine’ of Serge Benhayon leaves trail of broken families”, I am left with a number of questions.

Firstly: Why weren’t some of the doctors and specialists mentioned asked why they might refer people to Universal Medicine? There could possibly be a story in that. Not a sensational ‘brainwashed devotees’ type story but a story that might actually provide people with some useful information that could make a difference in their lives. After all, we have a crisis in our healthcare system. Obesity and diabetes are on the rise, breast cancer is occurring in women in their 20’s and cancer rates in general are one person in three. Serge Benhayon does not claim that he can cure anything, what he does do is present a way of living responsibly that could definitely impact positively on people’s lives including their health. ‘ADVANCEMENTS’ IN WOMEN’S HEALTH

Few would argue we have come a long way since the first female doctor of the modern era graduated from a medical school in 1849 (US). The concept of women’s health has come a long way in the last 50 years alone, as we witness more books published, more female voices on women’s health heard, more research conducted – with an expanded awareness in the field of Gynaecology and diseases such as breast and cervical cancers, less medicalisation, more humanising of women’s experience of medical care and more female medical professionals, including the first female dean of a major medical school in the US (albeit only in 2007). Breast Massage & the Esoteric Breast Massage – an Open Approach

Lucy Dahill explores both a conventional and an Esoteric approach to the practice of the breast massage in this delicate and most important offering in the area of Women’s Health.

This article is to help bring an open and educated perspective on the subject of breast massage and the Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM). To place both in some sort of context, relative to our society today and current health issues, so we can understand how much breast massage is currently being taught and the intention, standards and ethics around its teaching, as well as the Esoteric Breast Massage and how it is similar, and then also differs.

I originally trained in Aromatherapy and subsequently furthered my skills and expanded my experience with short courses learning Sports and Remedial Massage, Aromatherapy and Pregnancy and 3 courses in Aromatherapy and Ayurveda followed by Ayurveda Massage. There was specific focus during many of the courses on Lymphatic Drainage, which is part of a very effective lymphodeoma treatment recognised in hospitals internationally.  I studied ‘End of Life’ care with Aromatherapy and then specifically in cancer palliative care.  I studied further in Australia undertaking a diploma in Remedial Massage which involved Swedish Massage and specific courses in Visceral and Myofascial Release and this focus re-connected me with my initial connection to the subtler communications of the lymph and connective tissues of the body. I worked in one of the first wellness centres in the United Kingdom, which was directly attached to the Oncology Department of a major hospital.
