Beautiful Women: Appreciation Beyond Body Shapes And Looks

The other day I was watching a Dutch TV program where four well-known Dutch female performers were singing their latest song. I noticed that I went into quite familiar reaction which always seems to pop up when I see certain people on television and especially with one of these women. It feels like I have this immediate irritation come up every time I see her.

This is what happened… Firstly, I mentioned to my partner that I had gotten irritated, which he said he already knew before he walked up the stairs because well, he’s known me for almost 8 years. Then my judgement kicked in, starting with how terrible the song was and followed by judging the women’s appearances. I noticed that one of them (the one I have this instantaneous irritation with) had gained quite a lot of weight, so I said something like this:

Dressing for Men or Living My Own Rhythm?

Yesterday morning I heard the chuckle of the kookaburras and the playful steps of my little niece on our timber floor. It was Saturday morning and I had begun my day with a warm shower. I prepared myself for the day by making a delicious salmon breakfast, gently doing my hair and sitting at my duchess, applying loving attention along with my make-up. I enjoyed ironing my beautiful red dress to wear for the day. I felt lovely and my day felt in rhythm. Continue reading “Dressing for Men or Living My Own Rhythm?”

True Beauty, Lost and Found

by Suzanne Anderssen, Brisbane

After reading the Women in Livingness Blog Getting Caught in an Outer Beauty by Sheri Gompelman, I realised I wanted to share my experiences on how I have come to realise that beauty is more than skin deep.

I too have been caught in thinking that being beautiful was about what I looked like, many times. Continue reading “True Beauty, Lost and Found”

Getting Caught in an Outer Beauty

by Sheri Gompelman, Brisbane, Australia

I recently submitted a blog titled, The Truth about Beauty – We Are Enough.

I wrote that blog a day after I had an Esoteric Ovary Massage with Natalie Benhayon, which had really allowed me to connect with the beautiful woman I am.

After I wrote the blog I cried as I could feel it came from a great power within. Yet, although I can feel what True Beauty is I am always having to remind or stop myself from falling into what is not True Beauty. Continue reading “Getting Caught in an Outer Beauty”

Real Beauty – The True Beauty from Within

By Georgina, Brisbane, Australia

Last week I attended an Esoteric Women’s presentation in Brisbane. The topic for the day was beauty. It soon became clear from discussions that society’s and women’s initial definition of beauty was literally only skin deep – our beauty appeared to be defined by how we look – by how we appeared on the outside rather than how we appear from within. Growing Breasts – The Reflection of my Life in my Breasts

by Anonymous

As a little girl I looked forward to having breasts, I wanted to look like my Barbie dolls and I knew my breasts were going to be beautiful. When my breasts started to grow at around age eleven I was excited and although it was painful I embraced the way my body was changing. At this time my mum had recently begun a new relationship and moved in with her new partner and she began to seem uncomfortable with the changes happening to my body. One day my mum sat me down and told me in no uncertain terms that my new breasts must be kept hidden at all times. I was not allowed to wear strappy nightgowns or clothing anymore, even if it was a 35-degree summer. She also said that this order had come directly from her new partner. True Beauty in a Woman’s Walk

by Shevon Simon, London, UK

One day this week I was walking through some gardens at lunchtime. The sun was bright and it was warm and suddenly I spotted a woman walking with her friend. What struck me was the way this young woman was walking. Her walk was what I would describe as ‘True Beauty’. Continue reading “True Beauty in a Woman’s Walk”
